Holds Review Table - CUS 30
This table, accessed via Menu option CUS 30, displays all the orders that are in a hold status. Using the options on this table, you can:
- Track holds by individual items
- Access and use the Allocation Swapping feature
- View either unallocated or allocated orders
- Access the Holds Review table using menu option CUS 30.
- Holds can be reshuffled manually, via menu option SYS 922, or via night jobs.
The Options for Removal of Unprocessed Orders from the System contains several options for holds; including one to activate automatic reshuffling of hold allocations during night jobs.
Regardless if the reshuffle was done manually (via menu option Run Reshuffle Holds - SYS 922) or automatically (via night jobs), the date of the reshuffle is recorded as the Last Reshuffle.
Function Keys
- F1=Bypassed Holds Only - displays all the holds bypassed during the nightly process due to insufficient stock. These would be all the lines highlighted in red.
- F4=View Allocated - Allocated Holds are unprocessed orders that are allocating inventory; they are already assigned to specific rolls of inventory.
- F5=View unallocated - Unallocated Holds are unprocessed orders which have back order lines; these are at item level only, which is done by entering a hold as a back order (with nothing allocated). Any unallocated holds that have been processed through a reshuffle and not filled are highlighted in red.
- F6=View All - displays all the holds regardless of allocation status. Any unallocated holds which have been processed through a reshuffle and not filled will be highlighted in red.
- F7=EOJ - returns to the Customer Service (CUS) menu.
Options
I - View Holds by Item
Placing an I next to a specific line takes you to the holds review screen by item for the item associated with the line. The screen that appears helps you gain an understanding of the holds against a specific item.
- Sorting/Filtering:
- The item associated with the selected hold is inserted into the Item# field at the top of the screen. The holds shown are those associated with the item number. If the item number is blank, no holds are displayed.
- To rearrange the information displayed, make an entry in the sort field directly under the headings. The default sort is by entry date.
- Options:
- O=View order - Placing an O next to a specific line takes you to the order inquiry screen for the order associate with that line.
- F7 from order inquiry will return the user to the Holds by Item Review Screen.
- Function Keys
- F1=Next item by item# - cycles through the item file by item number for the next item that has holds matching the current view (i.e. allocated, unallocated, or all) and any active filter by salesperson, branch or cost center. Items with no active holds or that do not match the current filter setting will be skipped.
- F2= Next item by description - cycles through the item file by description for the next item that has holds matching the current view (i.e. allocated, unallocated, or all) and any active filÂter by salesperson, branch or cost center. Items with no active holds or that do not match the current filter setting will be skipped.
- F4=View Allocated - Allocated Holds (or Primary Holds) are holds that are already assigned to specific rolls of inventory.
- F5=View unallocated - Unallocated Holds (or Secondary Holds) are holds that are at item level only, which is done by entering a hold as a back order (with nothing allocated). Any unallocated holds that have been processed through a reshuffle and not filled are highlighted in red.
- F6 = View All - displays all the holds regardless of allocation status. Any unallocated holds which have been processed through a reshuffle and not filled will be highlighted in red.
- F7 = EOJ - returns to the main Holds Review screen.
- F8= New Search - accesses the Item File search. When an item is found and selected, you are returned to the Holds By Item Review screen.
S=Allocation swapping
This option is only available for processed orders.
Placing an S next to a specific line accesses the Allocation Swapping program.
The item number is automatically passed over the Allocation Program.
Pressing F7 from the allocation swapping program returns you to the Holds Review screen.
Allocation Swapping is the ability to easily switch orders between a status of allocated (assigned to inventory) and unallocated (on back order).
The Allocation Swapping Screen displays all open orders and holds for the item number appearing on the top of the screen. The orders and holds are limited to the warehouses as controlled by the user's work station Control Panel. The displayed warehouses can be controlled by changing the warehouse fields on the top left of the screen. The sequence of the displayed orders and holds can be controlled by the Sort Code field. The available sort codes are:
- O = Sort by order number.
- C = Sort by customer.
- W= Sort by warehouse.
- S = Sort by serial number.
- L = Sort by location.
- D = Sort by date required.
- Q = Sort by quantity.
- T = Sort by status code.
This screen allows you to allocate (fill) back orders, deallocate orders and holds, exchange allocations, and split lines by entering A, D, E, or S in the Opt field next to the respective orders.
